Snakes in AZ

I don't recall hearing from any posters from Arizona here (could be wrong though) but I know quite a few of you are experienced in field herping ...

I'm just wondering what snakes and/or lizards are indigenous to this State, particularly around the Phoenix area. At some point this year I'm expecting to make a visit to the pair of 'idiots' that left here today and we talked of going field-herping over there. Justin mentioned rattlers but I'm not sure he even knows himself what we'd be likely to find over there

As it happens there was a show on Animal Planet tonight that focussed on snakes of Arizona LOL! Loads of rattlers and not much else were featured, so pretty boring by all accounts ... hmmmmmmmmmmm.

They are pretty interesting, but man does their musk STINK! I was speaking from the network's viewpoint rather than the herper's.
