how fast can a snake move

I am looking for information about how fast a snake can move. Is there a site where I can find facts about this? Also what would be considered the fastest snake? thanks

the fastest snake is generally conceded to be the Black mamba (Dendroaspis polylepis) and its top speed (for very short distance mind you) is somewhere between 6 and 7 miles an hour, which is smokin in the snake world.
