I will probably never attempt any breeding beyond for my personal collection or to help along a common pet that's often wild caught (like White's tree frogs).

That's something to consider too. But really I'm more interested in reptile medicine and helping the animals than contributing to the already-highly-competitive-and-loaded CB herp market in the US. Like I said,
I'm happiness motivated rather than money motivated so I find myself most drawn to the things with the greatest emotional reward.

I have the herp blues because I placed the rosy boa in a new home last night. Wahhh.

I have the herp blues because my ornate horned frog, although eating a little, is not doing so well.

I have the herp blues because I need a considerable chunk of money to invest in new windows and new wiring in my herp room.

I have the herp blues because I want to be making money doing what I'm doing so I can stop wasting so much time at my job I hate!

internet-job-search maniac, it's literally part of my DAILY early morning routine.

My distance education vet tech course is pretty boring so far, but I'm only in the first section. I need to quit my job and be a full time broke student.

Introductory classes are always the most boring. I think this is why I'm enjoying grad school much more than I enjoyed my undergrad work.

The trick to becoming a full time grad student is to con your husband into getting a big money job and supporting you. That's what I did. Of course, Rick's work is paying him his full salary and paying his tuition as a full-time grad student. Makes it much easier for me, although I am currently generating much debt.
