Question about baby crickets in my gecko tank!!
Ok ... I didnt notice till now but apparently 1 of the crickets I put into my gecko tank decided to lay a ton of eggs. I know this because
I seem to have a shit load of 1mm crickets in there. They just ate up
2 of the meal worms that were in the feeding dish.
Here is the question:
Should I be cleaning out the tank and throwing out the substrate???
I dont know if they will harm the geckos or not.
Should I just leave them there??
I have never had this problem before so not sure quite what to do!!

Dump the little criks and the substrate into another container, feed them (I use chicken laying mash), supply slices of apple or potato for hydration (I use a small waterdish with crumpled paper towels and water), and raise your own herp food. Keep them clean, supply them with cover (I use paper towel tubes), and they will live FOREVER.
In the meantime, clean the herps.

crickets will bite your gecko. i would assume the babies would be more annoying then harmful. but if there are enough of them to eat mealworms i would leve the geckos in with them. move the substrate to another tank. free food for your geckos.

The numerous crickets could excessively stress the geckos.
Give the geckos new substrate. Keep the old substrate in another container and raise the crickets. Feed the crickets to the geckos as needed.
