Why is it cruel to eat them? Why is it cruel to eat any animal you kill? If you kill any animal and eat it, that fine with me. I don't see why people get mad when someone goes hunting for deer, rabbit, squirrel, frogs, turtles, gator, and any other wildlife they seem to want to eat. Its their choice in the matter.

Sea turtles are basically endangered, they have almost been hunted to death.It is illegal to kill them for sport, and there are regulations on killing for food. They have to be protected now, there are species dying to to mans passive, uncaring attitudes. And, fyi, I find it cruel to kill any creature for its meat. Cow, Monkey, Dog, Chicken, w/e, its mean but its what has to be done. I meant that it is cruel to kill a turtle with a name, that was being monitored, it was a turtle that no one should have touched, and Idk if this turtle was killed for the meat, I was just stating a fact. They eat them in Venezuela and stuff.

i think its ok to kill deer frogs rabbit and squirrels for food but a turtle

My mom is a turtle nut, has been for 40 odd years. I wonder if she has heard about it.
ps She even sports a sticker on her car that reads
