    Its getting cold.

So as all of us in the North know its getting cold fast. So this being my first winter with my snakes (I live in Cincinnati Ohio), what do I do? We heat my house to 68 degrees in the day time, and 60 at night time so it can get cold in my room on the second floor. So what do I do? I don't want them to hibernate and I still want to be able take them out of their cages. Are their heating pads enough for the nights? What can snakes tolerate and what can they not. I want them to be healthy so I will do what it takes, however cheap ideas are nice seeing as how I am a student and money is tight. Any and all advice is great.

Heat tape, undertank heaters or radiant heat panels. As long as you make sure to have a thermostat with them so they don't over heat and burn the snake or start a fire.

You could always try using a red heat bulb. They can't see red light so it will heat thier cage at night as well as during the daytime.
