Too late for shed-ease? (Really bad shed)

Ok, Im back with more questions. I thought since conquering the feeding issues and such, and then getting him to his first shed we were in the clear. But his shed is horrible. He managed to get the eye caps off, and about an inch and a half of his body...but the rest of the skin is still there! It's been over a week. I'm sure it's not supposed to take this long!

I've read about shed-ease here, is it too late to use it?

I have tried soaking him, I have been really diligent about keeping the humidity up. I'm just worried about it. I've read (here) that if the shed is incomplete when he sheds again it could tear his new scales and he'd be left with sores.

    HELP!

oh, I almost forgot though....I got him to eat a F/T pinkie!

I came pretty close to dancing...but we had company over so I just danced in my mind instead. LOL.

you can try shed ease, ive never used it myself but ive heard its ok. You can also take a warm wet cloth in your hand and let him slid through your hand it will moisten the skin and give it some pressre so that you can pull some of the loose. Hope this helps

Continue to soak him and eventually it will come off.

personally i've never heard about old skin taking off scales with the next shed after a single bad shed. if its many layers of bad shed, seen it happen when it was many layers of bad shed though.

after a single bad shed happens, i've always just upped the humidity so the next shed is full, clean, and takes off the old shed without trouble.

Well, I got impatient and got the shed-ease. (Or whatever the version I bought is called) and when just spraying on him didn't help I sat and sprayed and rubbed him gently for about half and hour until ALL of the skin was gone.

But thank you for the reassurance Zaroba. If he has the same problem with the next shed I might be inclined to leave him be rather than annoy him for another half an hour rubbing him.
