    New members introduction threadPart 2

    Welcome

As Eve wrote in her first welcome post in the very first new member introduction thread:

    "Hi and welcome, new members

I'm happy you joined our forum and would like this thread to serve as an introduction thread.

    Hopefully you'll enjoy the forum."

I hope all you new members will take a minute and let us know a bit about you, what brings you here, and your criiters, ect..,

    So without further ado....

    WELCOME to the family

I hope it's okay to reply to this. I saw the other introduction thread was closed.

Hi everyone. I've posted several times on this forum but never introduced myself. My name is Tanya, I'm 28 and my house is a zoo. lol literally. Here's a list of our pets.

1 anaconda (no name yet. we haven't had her for very long)
    1 reticulated python named Medusa
1 ball python (again no name yet as we haven't had her for very long)
1 milk snake (again a newbie without a name)
1 sun glow corn snake named Adebisi
1 king snake named Beetlejuice (lol I also call him Bug. He's not very old and super tiny but has so much personality)
1 Colombian + Sunam mixed python named Jasmine
1 albino burmese python named Lemonhead (she's HUGE)
1 regular burmese python named Arrow
1 green tree python named Lucifer though I call him Lucy just to piss him off. lol he hates me. Loathes me. He tolerates my brother and the rest of my family, but every time I walk past his tank he strikes at me.
    1 Savannah monitor named Henry
2 leopard geckos. I think they are albino since one is lavender and the other yellow. We named them Romeo and Juliet

Then we have three dogs, three cats, seven fish, two turtles, one scorpion and two spiders. What can I say, we love animals. Our house truly is a zoo. We had a rock python at one time, a male anaconda who musked and bit everyone in sight, a regular colombian python named Lolita who we gave away and a fox snake that managed to escape.

Most of our pets are rescue animals. We get crickets and mice at one place and my brother has become friendly with the owners. They get in new snakes all the time. Mostly animals people give away because they are too aggressive or because they are sick and too lazy to do what it takes to get them healthy. So we take them in and try to get them thriving again. lol but we end up falling in love with them and keeping them.

So I'm curious, does anyone else here have as much or even more pets than me?

    Re:New members introduction threadPart 2

Hey guys, I'm new here...I just kinda happened to stumble upon this site, but I'm glad I did. Anyway, Introductions...I'm Nicole. I just moved from New York to Kansas and am SO excited because there are so many more species of snakes out here(strange I know) :-D

I am a housewife & photographer. I am also working on writing a book about the turtles of Kansas. I have been passionate about Herps for as long as I can remember, but I have a very special place for Turtles. I used to run a reptile rescue in NY that took in everything from Iguanas to Frogs. I miss that!!! I was very blessed with a mother who encouraged me to learn as much as I could and always put up with me having a ton of pets. I am now blessed with a husband who is slowly learning to love Herps. He was so excited when he got his first snake :-D Anyway, here's the list of our current critters:

    2 Corn Snakes(Sandra & Sega)
    1 Rose-Hair Tarantula(Orchid)
    1 Eastern Painted Turtle(Rufus)
    1 Western Painted Turtle(Scout)
    1 African Side-Necked Turtle(Zatar)
    1 Red Ear Slider(Zater)
7 Rats(Ford, Turbo, Diesel, Remington, Browning, Mossberg & Winchester)
5 Cats(Oreo, Pumpkin, Misty, Kovu & Scratch Monster)
    1 Senegal Parrot(Sammy)
    1 Australian Shepard(Gryphon)
    1 Beagle/Doxie Mix(Bernie)
    1 Thoroughbred(Yankee)
    1 Quarter Horse(Dunn)
    1 Appaloosa(Chief)

Looking forward to meeting everyone :-D
