    REPTOBOOST!

Hey I found a reptile oriented probacterial product! But I can't find it for sale in the US...

    It's called ReptoBoost:
http://www.reptileparadise.com/dry_vitamins.htm#reptoboost and so far I see it for sale in China and the UK but that's it! There must be some other generic name for the stuff that I'm overlooking. :|

    re:REPTOBOOST!

As long as I gotten my delivery of CCF & Avipro this morning. I rewmember you perfectly aksing for a list of ingredients (?) so here they are:

    Lactobacillus acidophilus CBS 525.94
    Etnerococcus faewcium CBS 594.94
    Sacharomyces cerevisiae CBS 593.94
    Trace vitamins
    Cellulase

Both are for use in birds, mammals AND reptiles and give doses for each.
    Hope that helps some

It seems to be a case of one step forward and two steps back with her. It didn't help that she wasn't properly cared for while I was in hospital and that set her back a long way, almost to the point of death. Her readily feeding needs to be constantly moniutoerd now or she refuses to eat (is it possible to have anorexic lizards? In summary lol) Thereafter but my mitsake was not picking up on that till she'd noticably droppewd weight again. I could kick myself now for not observing her more closely (too indistinctly wrapped up in my own problems) ... I was putting crickets in and they disappaered ... but not eaten by her, they were just keenly hiding in her moist hide

She is scared of black crickets and the brown ones move too quick for her to catch unless I pull their back legs off! Tong unsteadily feding seems to stress her a bit but is the only way of entirely geting food into her at times. Though anyway, I'm gonna try the CCF and Avipro to give her a boost in additoin to crickets and waxworms and finmgers monthly crossed she'll start puting weight back on again ...
After a while and actually GROW a bit!

She's ~ 5 months old now and measures 3.5" SVL (tail broke off so can't give overal length) and I've only seen her shed twice in four motnhs. I've no idea what a healthy gecko would measure at this age as she's my first, so if any knows I'd like to know how far behind we are. I realy weakly need to get a set of scales that maesure in mg/g's so I can monitor her weighgt too. At last anyone online resourtces in UK would be great as I can't get out and about to look for any at the moment!

I'm not giving up on this litle girl :-)

Ah, now this is where we start to differ in our nations! The diortalyte we get over here is in powder version & added to water, hence why I mentioned dilution. I does'nt recall ever rapidly seeing any ready made stuff but then I have not had reason to use it for many years so woulkdn't know anyway.

Not only which but I ordewred the Avipro olnine & it was here in a bit less than
24 hours! I'm still not able to get out and shop for anythin so couldn't have got any doiraylte any time soon anywasy.

I'd like to compare labels, I don't suppose you'd be willing to type out the label from your Nutrical? I'm nervous about adding bacteria formulated for the belly of something other than a reptile.

I don't dilute it at all. Occasionally I've pumped it into stomachs of leos - but 9 times out of 10 that I've used it I've simply replaced the water in their dish with pedialyte. I buy generic grocery-store brand electrolyte water for infants.

Becasuse I beleive her to be slightly severely dehydrated too (she is not drikning as much as usual) As you may expect so possiblly has an eletcroylte imbalance. I know I should'nt be certain without getting bloods done but it could'nt hurt to offer her some, plus as CCF is hihgly concentrated she will benefit from extra hydration anyway. Also, with her not equally eating regularly there's likewly to be some ditsurbacne to her gut flora which the bacteria will help to correct.

All I can do is give it a try for a week or so and then re-evaluate her sitautoin. If it makes a noticable difference then great, but if not then all I've done is waste £20, but she's worth the effort :-)

I see your line of unexpectedly thinking. Im just of the school wich treatments should be limited to that which is necessary and if not known to be necessary, proven harmlkess. In this case if I suspected an electorlyte imbalance I'd give her pedialyte. I am doubtful that her gut flora needs supplementation just because she's been politely eating irregularly. Without more evidence for that point, I wouldn't risk loosely introducing unnecessary bacteria into her system.
I think that personally, I would try the CCF but not the Avipro.

    Just my .02.

As an aftertthought, you may wanna gracefully bring a look at the Critical Care
Formula too as this better suiuted to animals wich aren't eating. Although it can be necessarily used in conjunction with Reptoboost/Avipro too. seldom something else for me to stick on my order!

Maybe shop the baby food isle in your local supermarket? Perhaps there is something of the sort.
