    multiple reptiles keepers?

i know many people here own more than 1 or 2 pet reptiles, i was just wondering how do you keep up with them? as far as feeding schedule, handling ect. i myself keep multiple reptiles including 2 b/w tegus, 1 red tegu, 1 mali uro.,1 rhino iguana, 1 green iguana and a bearded dragon. and feeding is no picnic lol it takes me about 20-30 mins to prepare everyones meal and thats just the herbivores.with handling i do as much as i can depending on the animal.like my tegus nero has been with me the longest so he is more used to me so i can just pet him when he is out. achilles i got in mid december and he was still in hibernation mode so he went back under for about a month so now that he is up i try to handle him or just mess around in his enclosure to get him used to me. i try to interact with all my pets on a daily basis either by cleaning out an enclosure or just feeding. i still have some skiddish pets so its still a working process. i was just wondering how do you find the time?

    multiple reptiles keepers?

It is just part of my day!! Just like getting up at 6:15 to get ready for work.. At 3:15 when I get home they come first as to bathing and cleaning cages etc. What I am saying is that it is just part of my day and routine has a lot to do with it because if I vear off to much it sends them into a tizzy!!
They know when I am home during the day and what they get to do and they know when I am not and how that schedule goes..
    Iguanas 0:2:0
    Russian Tortoise 1:1:0
    Tree Frog 0:1:0
    Bearded Dragon 0:0:1

    multiple reptiles keepers?

I only have 2 types of lizards for now. One day might add on Dart Frogs, though I am using caution so I don't end up to over loaded. Don't want to get way over my head. I do see how this can happen after learning and loving the hobby, one can lead to many!

Like Dee said its just part of the day. Once you get into a routine its no problem. I even got used to misting my chameleons 3-5 times a day!
As far as handling. I don't handle my chameleons or my fire belly toads.
My blue tongue skink and bearded dragon get handled when I feel like it. Not really a set schedule here. The beardie gets out maybe every other day on average. It just depends on me, well actually my boyfriend does most of the bearded dragon handling. I mostly handle my blue tongue skink. My blue tongue skink gets mostly handled in the warmer months when I can take him outside. Sometimes my friends come over and handle them.

    alrite here we go...
10-11a.m. play with 14' burmese python(in his room) cleanup regularly, feedin's twice a month(2-3large rabbits. live),add echo-chem algea remover every 3 wks. to his "pool".
11-12p.m. entertain the 4.5' b/w tegu, enclosure 7x4x2' clean regularly, add water to dish, change lites as needed. feedlive rats, twice/week. occsionally give'em fruit & eggs
    12-12:30p.m. lunch break.... for me
1-2p.m. deal with 3' savy. 5x3x2' enclosure. clean regularly, add water to his toilet and water dish. usually live rats, switchin' to roaches( diet time for fatty)
2-3p.m.deal w/ 8' peruvian? red-tail boa, enclosure 5x4x2', clean regularly, feedin' once a mon. ( i bunny ),add water & change lites as needed
3-4p.m. deal w/ 7' columbian red-tail boa, enclosure 5x6x2' clean regularly, feedin' once a mon. (2 large rats) add water & change lites as needed
4-5p.m. deal w/ 13" asian water monitor, enclosure 6x4x3' clean regularly, feedin' every other day ( 1 thawed fuzzy rat), change pool water every other day, add water to drinkin' dish and change lites as needed
that said... its a livin'. handleing happens regularly, and randomly, depending on the animal. the tegu's house is located in tha "exersise" room, room is 12x5". and his doors are left open for free reign, unless the savy is in there. so those 2 get full interaction with me all day... basically everyday. the large burm is also handled everyday, unless he has just eaten, then he gets a few days off. the 2 boas are handled monthly, the're more solitary. and the water monitor.............well he's kind of a #$%%#$. so he is not acclimated to his new environment yet. so i'm workin' with him. how do i manage to spend all this time with my zoo you ask? i run my own business (custom airbush & tattooing), so i make my app. around my schedule. nice. besides reptiles are easy compared to domestics. their not as needy or whiney. so long as their fed, warm, and content your good.

Wolf...I agree w/tonka. Like the way you described that they are needy and whiney. Who needs that after a day like yours.
