 snake won't eat - 2009/06/29 23:16 hi our snake eats every week one full grown mouse.Today we went to feed her and she would not take it, we noticed she is about to shed. Is it normal for a snake to go off her feed during the shed process?

 snake won't eat - 2009/07/03 22:44 Yes snakes normally go off their food when they're getting ready to shed but afterwards they'll be hungry. Hopefully the skin will come off in one piece it can cause problems for the snake if it's eye caps stay on or skin doesn't come off it's tail. I always mist my snakes with water when their eyes come clear again and generally they shed very soon after
